Sweet Pea's Baby Game

Hello all. I apologize for my unusually long absence. I'm back in blogging business and I have a lot to catch you up on.

First, a little update on Sweet Pea. We ended our vacation a day early due to some worries that we had with the pregnancy. We felt better coming home and having everything checked out before we headed into the weekend, and of course, everything was A-Okay!!

While our concerns were warranted, I don't want to turn into one of "those" mothers who thinks that they have to come in for every little problem. I wasn't like that with Olivia, and I never intended to be that way with Sweet Pea. However, this little fella is giving his Mommy and Daddy a lesson in keeping the faith! Once we got into the office and were checked out, they showed us our sweet little baby on the ultra sound. And guess what...not only was there still heart beat...but he has legs and arm buds!! That was about a week and half ago now, so I'm sure those little arms and legs have budded into full blown limbs!!

Josh and I took that final scare to hopefully be our last. I told Josh that it was time for us to chill out...people's bodies can do weird things during pregnancy....and we've come to learn that what was "normal" last time may not be normal this time around.

But, in honor of Sweet Pea's 11 week birthday coming up on Wednesday, we've started a baby game for each of you to participate in. 8 Weeks and More Good News

Josh and I went to the doctor yesterday for our 8 week check up, and the ultra sound showed our little sweet pea and his little heart beat. We still weren't able to hear it, but they calculated the rate to be at about 170 beats per minute, which seemed great! The funny part of our visit is that one of our friends from church was our Ultra Sound technician, which I thought might be weird, but it wasn't at all. And the cool thing was that she told us that at around the 14th or 15th week, she'd try to sneak us in for another ultrasound to tell us if Sweet Pea's a boy or a girl!!! How cool is that!!!!

Josh and I were very comforted in seeing that little pulsating heart! We can't wait to hear it, hopefully next time. Blood results should be back today, so hopefully those levels are still rising!!

Only 223 more days to go!!! Olivia is definitely ready for a playmate!!
